For millennia, the Greater Yellowstone Ecosystem has been home to members of over 49 tribes that still hold an ancestral connection to this land. These tribes include the Apsáalooke/Crow, Arapaho, Bannock, Cheyenne and Ute Nations, Gros Ventre, Kootenai, Lakota, Lemhi, Little Shell, Nakoda, Nez Perce, Niitsitapi/Blackfeet, Pend d’Oreille, Salish and Shoshone, among many others. We honor their cultural and spiritual ties to this land and appreciate that as we drive the roads and walk the trails in Yellowstone, we often follow routes that they have used for centuries.
We’re fifth generational stewards of Montana who love Yellowstone and all it has to offer. From farming the land in 1936, to hosting guests from far and wide in our boutique hotels, our family feels so blessed to have one of the nation’s most remarkable landmarks in our backyard.
